International Peace Project (IPP)
Promoting a culture of peace through interactive dialogues, education and community engagement. The IPP is delivered by a consortium led by IYF in partnership with International Change Federation and Partners in countries where the project is implemented.

The IPP aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through community-driven dialogue, education, inclusion, and peace-focused action.

International Peace Project
Objectives
  • Advance Peace Psychology as a foundation for lasting peace.
  • Establish interactive peace dialogues in universities, bookstores and communities.
  • Empower Peace Ambassadors (women & youth) as local leaders.
  • Advocate Peace Education in curricula (SDG 4.7).
  • Build cross-border partnerships aligned with the SDGs.
Core Activities
  • University & Community Dialogues (campus talks, bookstore circles, civic forums).
  • TEDx-format programs curated by IPA (e.g., TEDx Aydın University – peace program).
  • Peace Ambassadors lead inclusive sessions across countries.
  • The Peace Psychology Book used as a learning resource.
  • Global campaigns on UN International Days (Peace, Education, etc.).

  • Operational Peace Ambassadors Network.
  • Thousands engaged annually through dialogues & events.

Peace Ambassadors 
  • Ambassadors are selected from active members of International Yoga Federation and International Change Federation, operating under federations’ ethics and vision.
  • Federations’ international connections (universities, peace associations, cultural institutions) enable country-level organizing.
  • Active geographies: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, UAE, Japan, Türkiye.
  • Names appear in Activity Reports; main page lists roles/countries. 
Sponsorship & Participation
  • Ambassadors’ Contribution: Ambassadors self-finance travel and participation as a sign of responsibility.
  • Community Sponsorship: Individuals and civil society partners support translations, publications, venues and logistics.
  • Shared Responsibility: The hybrid model ensures independence, community ownership and sustainability.

Book Use and Distribution

  • The IPP uses the Peace Psychology book as a primary reference in sessions.
  • The book is a key tool, yet the project does not rely on book sales revenue.
  • Distribution occurs through donations, sponsorships or at-cost, coordinated by local partners.
  • Any commercial sales are managed by the publisher/distributor and kept separate from IPP budgets.

SDG 16 – Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions 16.1 (reduce violence), 16.7 (inclusive decision-making) Community dialogues and inclusive participation via Ambassadors.
SDG 4 – Quality Education 4.7 (peace & global citizenship education) Advocacy and learning resources for Peace Education in curricula.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality 5.5 (women’s leadership) Women Peace Ambassadors lead and host dialogues.

Launch of The Peace Psychology book in Turkish.

Launch of the english edition of the Peace Psychology book.

Activity Reports (Country Highlights)
  • France: Organized by the International Peace Association in France; French edition of the Peace Psychology book financed/sponsored by Peace Ambassador Oytun Aygün. Women Ambassadors active.
  • Germany: Organized by the International Peace Association in Germany  led by Peace Ambassador (university student) Idil Dizman.
  • Italy: Events coordinated by local Peace Ambassadors in Milan, Florence, Rome, Napoli.
  • Netherlands: Turkish Peace Ambassadors traveled to Madrid to host dialogues.
  • Spain: Turkish Peace Ambassadors traveled to Breda to host dialogues.
  • UAE: Sharjah & Dubai engagements with Turkish Peace Ambassadors.
  • Japan: Book-fair participation and peace circles led by Japanese and Turkish Peace Ambassadors.
  • Türkiye: Organized by the International Peace Association in Türkiye; TEDx Talk; Radio programs
  • Greece: Peace dialoges in Bookstores and in The American College.
  • Portugal: Peace dialoges in Lizbone with Turkish Peace Ambassadors.
