INTERNATIONAL PEACE PROJECT

Purpose

The International Peace Project (IPP) seeks to promote a global culture of peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding through education, cultural exchange, and public engagement. Led by the President of the International Yoga Federation (IYF), the project emphasizes the psychological foundations of peace and inspires individuals and communities to contribute actively to conflict prevention, reconciliation, and sustainable social cohesion. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, SDG3 Good Health and Well-being, SDG Gender Equality, SDG 4: Quality Education, the project strengthens intercultural solidarity and supports ECOSOC’s mission of advancing sustainable peace and development.

Activities

  • International Speaking Engagements: Keynote lectures on peace at universities and NGOs worldwide.
  • Dissemination of the Peace Psychology Book (which is the manifestation of  Peace): Authored by the IYF President and presented as a contribution to humanity, promoted at international book fairs, public events, and academic platforms.
  • Book Launches & Signing Events: Public sessions combining dialogue, signing ceremonies, and discussions on peace psychology.
  • Partnership Development: Collaboration with NGOs, academic institutions, and international networks to strengthen global outreach.
  • Academic Collaborations: Integration of peace psychology into university curricula, seminars, and research programs.
  • Youth Participation: Launch of a “Peace Ambassadors Program” enabling young leaders to implement peace initiatives in their communities.
  • Digital Outreach: Online peace workshops, podcasts, and short videos to expand accessibility.
  • Community Engagement: “Peace Stories Platform” to showcase real-life peacebuilding experiences.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Collection of data on participation, outreach, and partnerships to measure impact and ensure accountability.
